At Greenhouse, we provide in-home and community-based pediatric occupational therapy for infants, children, and teens. New clients go through an intake process and receive a comprehensive evaluation. The child's caregivers and the evaluating therapist then meet for a caregiver conference to review the evaluation report, clinician observations, and test scores. Together, we create personalized goals and treatment plans that reflect the unique strengths and needs of each client, ensuring the best possible outcomes for your family.
Drawing from our unique blend of professional expertise and personal insight, we offer highly skilled intervention that fosters rapid and meaningful progress. With extensive training and advanced clinical skills, we empower our clients to achieve greater independence, build meaningful relationships, and experience genuine joy. We provide caregivers with the knowledge and support they need through education and coaching, offering hope and guidance every step of the way.
Neurodivergence and sensory needs do not magically disappear when a child turns 18. We are excited to extend our occupational therapy services to adults, offering evaluations, consultations, and treatment services to either in the home or virtually.
Many neurodivergent adults find ongoing support beneficial, gaining therapeutic insight and strategies to navigate daily challenges. For late-diagnosed adults, occupational therapy can be invaluable in understanding how their body and brain work, while learning practical approaches to enhance function and well-being. Over the years, we’ve heard from many parents of our pediatric clients seeking guidance for their own neurodivergence, and we’re here to help.
Our adult services are typically short-term or consultative, with the option for recurring sessions as needed.
Our feeding therapy program is designed for children, teens, and adults who have limited tolerated foods, are picky eaters, or have ARFID. We do not work with children who need feeding therapy due to a swallow issue.
Feeding therapy focuses on regulation and felt safety. Feeding can be extremely anxiety-producing for some clients. It is vital that they feel safe before we can stretch into new skills. This is even more true for clients who have experienced trauma from previous feeding therapy.
We embrace the hierarchy of food exploration, work on oral motor skills, enjoy messy play, and help clients feel empowered and curious about food.
The number one rule of feeding therapy? You never have to eat anything you aren't ready for. By removing the pressure, the client's anxiety decreases, allowing for more adventurous exploration.
DIR stands for Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-Based. The DIR model provides a developmental framework to therapy that focuses on building relationships and emotional connections to support a child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Floortime, or DIR Floortime is the treatment application of the DIR model. In pediatric occupational therapy, we use DIR Floortime to follow the child’s lead and engage them in meaningful, playful interactions that are both enjoyable and therapeutic. By meeting the child at their developmental level and using their interests to foster engagement, we help them strengthen critical skills like communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and motor coordination. Through this relationship-based model, we create a supportive environment where children feel safe and motivated to explore, learn, and thrive.
DIR Floortime also places a strong emphasis on involving caregivers in the therapeutic process. We actively collaborate with families, providing coaching and guidance to help them support their child’s development outside of sessions. This partnership is crucial, as it empowers caregivers to use the same strategies at home, fostering growth and connection in everyday routines. By working together, we ensure that progress made in therapy is reinforced and sustained across all areas of the child's life.

Most pediatric occupational therapy practitioners focus on fine motor and sensory processing skills. We have the experience and knowledge to broaden our focus. We specialize in social-emotional skills, infant/toddler development, DIR Floortime, feeding, challenging behaviors, twice-exceptionality, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other forms of neurodivergence. Our owner, Kassie Allison, is proud to be the highest-trained DIR clinician in this region of the country.
After a decade of battling insurance companies for payments and watching reimbursement rates repeatedly decline, we’ve made the difficult decision to not accept any insurance plans.
